Last Day. Ready.

So....tomorrow is the last teacher workday until the first day of school!  I have worked hard to get everything set up and I think know that I will be ready for Monday by the end of the day tomorrow!  I could not have done it without my sister Rachel.  She has helped me every step of the way in getting my room ready and looking oh so fabulous!  God is SO good.  He has provided me with the best school to start this journey, resources and help (Rachel) to get my room ready, and a fabulous new teacher and friend that has been such a blessing in mentoring me through preparation for this adventure!!  I owe it all to Him!

Today, I had a visit from my parents, Rachel, niece, aunt and cousin.  Dad prayed over the classroom, the students and the families that we will walking through the doors.  It is such a comfort to know that there is a bigger purpose for everything.  There is someone who doesn't have to do lesson plans, because He has the MASTER PLANS!!!  Do you know who I am referring to?  Do you have a relationship with the Master Teacher?

Beyond Excited!!!

So.... three years ago this month, I made the journey down to Charleston, South Carolina to finish what I started many years ago.  I received my bachelors in Elementary Education in May.  I accepted a 3rd grade position in July and now I am setting up my classroom!!  Teaching is definitely a gift from God and I am beyond excited to be able to use it.

Rachel, my Dad and I spent the morning carrying in bookshelves and other things into the room.  After a visit to Chickfila, we hit up Target and Walmart and finished the afternoon decorating and organizing.  There is a lot left to do and I can't wait for the final product!

Here is day one!

Thanks Nea Nea for your help!!!  Thanks Dad!!!

Pictures to come as the progress continues!
